The California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), Human Resources Division (HRSD) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Services Manager I (Specialist) to promote business transformation and manage various technology modernization projects. Under the general direction of the HR Data and Technology, Staff Services Manager II (SSM II), the Workforce and Systems Specialist acts as an independent, highly skilled advisor and key player of the HRSD team specializing in workforce planning, monitoring organizational impacts, business needs assessment, and various system related projects with HRSD. The Workforce and Systems Specialist makes independent decisions as a project success, change management, and communication liaison, and uses sound judgement while providing direction to project teams and implementation of change initiatives to help ensure successful transitions of HR initiated changes with enterprise-wide impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently develop and coordinate communication and training strategies to promote awareness and change readiness surrounding project milestones, system implementation, and HRSD process improvements. Liaise with stakeholders and partners to ensure effective communication and awareness of upcoming software implementation, key milestones, and impacts. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and coordinate a comprehensive training program Manage project activities and work closely with stakeholder groups. Improve project outcomes by serving as a liaison between HRSD and other departments on Organizational Change Management (OCM) strategies. Document and analyze core business processes, perform gap analysis, and develop communication and transition toolkits.
