Role:
The Consumer Loan Underwriting Specialist provides financial services of superior quality and convenience through examining, evaluating, and approving or declining member applications for Consumer Direct and Indirect loans by following established credit union loan guidelines and policy. This position collaborates with internal team members regarding the Consumer Lending process.Pay:
The pay for this position is $23.83 an hour.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Analyzes current financial position of applicants to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Makes decision to approve, decline, or forward the loan request to higher levels for decision. Establishes the terms and conditions of an approved loan and reviews them with the appropriate individual (internal team member, dealer, or other indirect channel representative). Reviews delinquency reports, dealer reports and rate sheets. Maintains knowledge of all Credit Union products, services, and promotions. Contributes to efficient Credit Union operations by performing other job related duties as assigned.Knowledge and Skills:

One year to three years of similar or related experience.Education:

The Credit Unions business days are Monday through Saturday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; however, this position may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and to include evening/weekend hours.
