Position Summary The Accounts Receivable Specialist will assist the accounting and finance team with invoicing, accounts receivable monitoring, and collections. The position will ensure timely collection of payments and maintain customer relationships. Main Responsibilities Creation/assistance with generating invoices for customers Provide customers with payment options and assist with processing payments on accounts Assist finance team to resolve past due accounts by researching or providing copies of invoices or other information as requested Handle customer questions and concerns, by email and phone Verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment Monitor incoming payments and ensure they are applied correctly Resolve discrepancies between customer payments and invoices Assisting with month-end closing activities such as preparing journal entries Develop reports related to accounts receivable activity Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing issues or disputes Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to accounts receivable activities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred; high school degree or equivalent with either QuickBooks certification or associate's degree required. 3+ years' experience managing accounts payable and payroll (ADP Workforce Now) in a multi-state environment Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis. Ability to use accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data. General understanding of sales tax in multiple states Proficient with QuickBooks Online is a plus Proficient with Word and Excel programs Strong math skills Ability to work in a team environment
