This role will be working with Chesapeake Neighbors, a subsidiary of The Arc founded in 2007 specifically to provide, promote, and support safe, affordable, and accessible housing for people and families in need. Tenant Services play a vital role in ensuring residents have the support and resources needed to maintain stable housing and improve their quality of life. By facilitating tenant onboarding, managing lease agreements, and connecting residents to essential services, they help create a positive and inclusive living environment. The Tenant Services Specialist is responsible for managing the leasing process for affordable and accessible housing units tailored to people supported by The Arc and providing resource navigation support to other tenants that need it to maintain their apartment. This role includes working with government housing voucher programs, ensuring compliance with fair housing laws, and fostering a supportive and inclusive community. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and proactive professional with experience in tenant services, housing coordination, and compliance. They will be responsible for managing tenant onboarding, lease agreements, and housing vouchers while ensuring adherence to Fair Housing laws and other regulations. Additionally, they will collaborate with property management, maintenance teams, and community organizations to support tenants in accessing resources, maintaining housing stability, and enhancing their overall living experience. This position requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of experience working with tenants.
