The Safety and Operations Coordinator at Maguire will support the Tank Operations Department by performing essential daily functions.
Essential Functions:
Provide direct support to Safety Supervisor Work with the Quality-of-Life team and safety department to support the new hire orientation process for safety education and training Organize and distribute appropriate PPE to new hires during their onboarding, as well as, assist the Safety Department in ordering and distributing PPE to all team members on an as-needed basis. Coordinate and setup safety meetings, annual safety exams, and other safety events throughout the year. Prepare for external tours of the Maguire Campus, ensuring participants have proper PPE Track Toolbox Talk compliance company-wide File and scan all steel receipts for projects to be submitted Update MPS daily with Steel Receipts, Paint, Shipping Support field crews with requests and coordinate deliveries Setup new vendor accounts for field crews (fuel, supplies, x-rays) Complete weekly progress reports of tank field construction Create, maintain, and train MS Teams content for field crews ensuring safety compliance and train field crews according to their needs. Perform general office duties, such as general filing, guest assistance, general phone support, office organization, and acquiring office supplies on an as-needed basis. Research proper PPE, along with other safety supplies and purchase as needed to maintain adequate inventory for business needs. Payroll and hours entry for fabrication employees Manage / track / & locate all incoming package(s) - file/stock/& or coordinate pick-ups from multiple offices & locations Create, use and maintain Excel spreadsheets to track safety trainings and compliance Draft correspondence in Microsoft Word, CRM, Tank Data & Document System Entry Create calendar appointments and schedule meetings for the safety department in Microsoft Outlook The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of team members. Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree preferred. Three years of experience in a fast paced construction environment. Organizational, time management and computer skills are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Team oriented person who can focus on the details. Professional attitude when dealing with internal and external customers.
Work Environment:
Majority of the time is spent in an office environment. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
