Description This person is responsible for the operation of SUE field equipment used to locate underground utilities. Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems. Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate. Able to create electronic field sketches, use simple mathematics and utilize basic field measurements. The major objectives are the quality, accuracy, thoroughness, and ability to follow instructions. Requires a lot of walking for long periods of time through all kinds of terrain, uneven ground and sometimes water. Regular out-of-town travel should be expected as part of this position. Required Experience Proficient in SUE field operations and use of SUE locating equipment preferred. Pay commensurate with experience. Individual will have good technical skills; behavioral traits of process oriented, steady, helpful, honest, trustworthy, adaptable, analytical, problem solver, likes work alone when required, methodical, consistent, detail oriented, precise, hates mistakes, likes structure. Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED(R). Associated Degree (P). Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
