Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) is an industry-leading provider for prime satellite and payload capabilities and directed energy and electronics solutions for national security, military, and civil customers. Join the Space revolution and make the impossible, possible. SSSD has an opening for a Technician 2/3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California. Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Exclude technicians working in Production or Quality Assurance.

Essential Functions:

Perform instrument services including virus scan, sanitization, imaging of hard drive on various measurement and test equipment in compliance with the DFARS security standards. Acquire and manage Letter of Volatility which are instructions from equipment manufacturers to clear non-volatile memory. Should have a working knowledge of computer hardware and software including setting up new computers. Be able to provide desktop support to end users including setting up software and hardware. Be able to work with end users to troubleshoot common computer problems. Including disassembly to repair, if necessary. \

The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

Technician level 2: High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience. Technician level 3High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience. Experience with PC desktop support to end users including setting up software and hardware, Including troubleshooting. Security+ certification (enrolled min.) Ability to acquire and maintain a

DoD Secret Security Clearance Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of measurement and test equipment OS. Should have a working knowledge of computer hardware and software including setting up new computers. Experience implementing DFARS security standards on computer and measurement & test equipment OS Security+ certification DoD Secret/SCI Security Clearance \

• $50,000 - $83,300 \
• Salary Range 2: \
• $59,300 - $98,900 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
