Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. A heavy equipment operator is responsible for a variety of tasks on a project, including but not limited to site utilities, pour concrete, shooting grade, equipment operations, i.e. dozer, excavator & skid steer. A heavy equipment operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our projects, maintaining high standards of safety, quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for completing tasks on a construction site according to the instructions given by the project managers and superintendents Ability to cross-function and work in construction other areas within the job site as/when needed Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
Able to take direction from leaders and management to complete projects in a safe, timely, and effective manner Willing and eager to work in a fast-paced environment, as needed, to meet customer deadlines Able to conduct yourself in a positive respectful manner Honest and able to communicate with Co-workers, Supervisors, and Managers Ability to work alone or with a team, in all weather conditions and work well with your hands Report concerns, problems or errors to the Supervisor/ Manager immediately Must be organized, a self-starter, dependable, punctual, and work well with others Willing to travel within 100 miles of our home office
Preferred Skills:
Construction experience and willing to learn to become a valuable company asset Knowledge of construction equipment, materials and tools
Manual Transmission CDL Position Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED preferred Vocational-Technical School/Courses - Equipment Technology or equal desired Valid driver's license with dependable transportation Pass drug screen Pass background check as required on specific projects Able to occasionally Sit; regularly Stand; Walk; Work with hands, Lift up to 50 pounds; Climb or balance; Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

$21.00 - $28.00 per hour
