General Description:

Private community seeking entry level/mid-level maintenance technician/laborer. Candidate must be able to work independently as well as in group situations. Physically demanding position that will perform majority of duties outside in all weather conditions in the caretaking of water/wastewater systems, sewer plant, roads, buildings, recreational facilities, common grounds, drainage systems, and associated equipment under direction of facilities supervisor. Wastewater Operator Certification required. Must possess a valid WA driver's license, pass security/background check. Employer offers excellent benefit package, pay will be dependent on certification/qualifications.

Example of Duties:

Maintain a class "A" Water Distribution system and booster station. Operation/Maintenance of a Level 1 Wastewater Treatment Plant and sewage collection system. Installation and repair of community and residential sewer and water service connections. Perform grounds maintenance to community recreational facilities and common land areas using a variety of hand and power equipment. Perform general building maintenance and repair. Assist in maintaining and repairing associated vehicles and equipment. Perform general roadway and drainage ditch repair and maintenance. Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Knowledge in maintenance and construction trades. Ability to lift fifty pounds with assistance. Ability to work standing, kneeling, or sitting for prolonged periods of time. Able to work safely in a variety of maintenance duties and situations. Preferred ability to operate a variety of equipment including trucks, mowers, tractors, hand, and power tools. Able to work independently or in-group situations. Able to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers, understand and follow directions.

Minimum qualifications:

Group 1 Wastewater Certification Possess High school diploma or GED. Possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver's license. Physically able to perform the tasks which may be assigned. Common knowledge and skills of basic tools and equipment Work weekends and holidays when warranted in support of facility operations. Submit to and pass a security/background check. Pay $32 - $34 per hour
