Apply now!Duties/Responsibilities:
- Specialize in a specific area of motor vehicle repair, such as transmissions, radiators, brakes, air conditioning, or another component.
- Identify mechanical problems using visual inspection or computer diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper mechanical function, examining all critical parts.
- Perform repairs, replacements, or maintenance as needed.
- Address malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, rotors, radiators, transmissions, and more.
- Conduct additional tests, including test driving vehicles, to verify repairs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of specialized areas and general vehicle repair.
- Exceptional mechanical repair skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
- Proficiency with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
- Capability to read service and repair manuals and work orders.
- Efficiency in performing repairs promptly.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- ASE or Brand Certification a plus but not required for the right applicant
- Three years of related experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work safely in a noisy environment with various odors.
- Capability to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
- Aptitude to inspect vehicles for necessary repairs with good vision.
- Capability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
- Drive and operate motor vehicles safely.
