Duties/Responsibilities:

• Specialize in a specific area of motor vehicle repair, such as transmissions, radiators, brakes, air conditioning, or another component.
• Identify mechanical problems using visual inspection or computer diagnostic equipment.
• Conduct tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper mechanical function, examining all critical parts.
• Perform repairs, replacements, or maintenance as needed.
• Address malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, rotors, radiators, transmissions, and more.
• Conduct additional tests, including test driving vehicles, to verify repairs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Thorough knowledge of specialized areas and general vehicle repair.
• Exceptional mechanical repair skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
• Proficiency with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
• Capability to read service and repair manuals and work orders.
• Efficiency in performing repairs promptly.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ASE or Brand Certification a plus but not required for the right applicant
• Three years of related experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work safely in a noisy environment with various odors.
• Capability to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
• Aptitude to inspect vehicles for necessary repairs with good vision.
• Capability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
• Drive and operate motor vehicles safely.
