Job Description

Overhead Crane Technician 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Wickliffe, OH Summit Skilled Solutions is hiring experienced Overhead Crane Technicians for service and installs within a 100-miles radius of Wickliffe, OH. Qualified candidates will have an electrical and mechanical background with a minimum of 4 years of overhead crane experience. OSHA 10 preferred but not required.
Overhead Crane Technician Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Maintenance technical training a plus Understanding of shop mathematics with the use of drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and precision measuring instruments. Experience working in an industrial environment in a position containing a routine maintenance component. 3 to 5 years of heavy industrial electrical maintenance experience including working on overhead cranes Intermediate knowledge of AC/DC motor theory and ability to troubleshoot Intermediate drive knowledge, electrical controls, NFPA 70E, and high voltage power systems.
Overhead Crane Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspecting and repairing overhead cranes, hoists, and any other similar overhead equipment. Installing or repairing cranes or other lifting equipment such as hoists Inspecting equipment to ensure it is in good working order Performing regular maintenance and inspections of cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment Reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting equipment problems Repairing motors, and occasionally machine or weld parts and materials when necessary
Overhead Crane Technician Additional Responsibilities:
Operate mobile equipment to lift and transport materials, including loaders, cranes (includes rigging principles), man-lifts, and forklifts. Ensure daily preventative maintenance is performed on vehicles and mobile equipment to include fueling, cleaning, and checking /adding fluids as needed. Follow all PPE requirements and safety rules and guidelines for all tasks being performed. Maintain communication with coworkers through two-way radio and hand signals as needed. Demonstrate ability and willingness to work as part of a self-directed team with limited supervision. Maintain work areas and equipment in clean and orderly condition. Demonstrate basic computer skills Assist customer maintenance personnel as needed. Perform all other duties as assigned. Proficient use of Meters and measuring devices
Overhead Crane Technician Compensation/Benefits:
$30-$42/hr
BOE M-F 40-50
hours Weekly direct deposit Company vehicle (once working independently) Medical/dental PTO/holidays Steady work
