As our automation efforts grow, you'll be key in shaping and leading a dedicated RPA/automation team. Key Duties and Responsibilities Identify & Prioritize Automation Projects Collaborate with department heads (billing, payroll, data entry, etc.) to uncover manual workflows that can be quickly automated. Evaluate which processes offer the highest potential for immediate efficiency gains. Design, Develop & Configure RPA Solutions Use tools like Microsoft Power Automate, UiPath, or Automation Anywhere to build stable, scalable automations. Overcome integration challenges with our existing TMS and other legacy systems. Process Documentation & Standardization Work closely with process owners to gather current workflows. Document new automated flows to ensure they can be easily updated and maintained. Technical Problem-Solving Employ scripting/programming (Python, C#, Java, etc.) when off-the-shelf RPA tools need customization. Testing & Quality Assurance Conduct thorough testing with stakeholders to ensure automations run reliably at scale. Quickly troubleshoot issues and refine solutions based on feedback. Deployment & Maintenance Schedule, monitor, and maintain bots via your chosen orchestration tool. Handle credential management and ensure best practices for security and compliance. Continuous Improvement & Reporting Track and report on key metrics (time saved, error reduction, throughput improvements). Suggest and implement optimizations to further streamline operations. Collaboration & Communication Work side by side with leadership and end-users to ensure automations match real-world needs. Provide clear updates on project progress and handle cross-functional input. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer Maintain up-to-date technical specs, user guides, and design documents. Provide training or guidance to key team members on managing and monitoring automated processes. Other Duties as Assigned Support special projects and explore additional automation opportunities as they arise. Job Requirements and Qualifications Education & Experience Minimum 2 years of hands-on RPA development with proven success Ideally 5+ years in IT or software development, with a background in process automation or system integration. Technical Proficiency Comfortable scripting in Python, C#, Java, or similar languages. Familiarity with SQL databases, APIs, and managing credentials/security protocols. Prior experience dealing with legacy systems a plus.Soft Skills Innovative Problem-Solver:
