JOB REQUIREMENTS

Pay:

\$22-26/hour, depending on experience The TractorTraier Driver will operate tractor-trailer truck on assigned route toservice customers in a safe and efficient manner. Deliver collectedsolid waste or recyclables to landfill, MRF or transfer station.

KeyResponsibilities:

Operate tractor-trailer truck and on-board hydraulicsystems on assigned route to collect solid waste and/or recyclables on aspecified collection route. Make sure each load is secure by checkingthat tarp is closed properly and that no loose trash is visible. Ensureall trash is emptied out of the trailer when dumping a load. Provide CSRwith each trailer number after the load is dumped and net weight.

Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety lane inspections and reports,daily truck report, route sheets and other documentation requested bysupervisor daily. Communicate vehicle mechanical problems to mechanicand supervisor immediately. Maintain route quality standards aspredetermined by management. Operate truck and equipment usingprescribed techniques to eliminate driver-induced mechanical failures.

Follow all safety standards, equipment checks and precautions inperformance of all duties. Comply with all federal, state/provincial,local and company rules on safety and vehicle operation. Maintain cleanvehicle by cleaning cab interior and exterior of vehicle. Conform in allrespects with applicable federal, state/provincial and local laws,regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies,procedures and directives from supervisors. Ensure that all requiredpersonal protective equipment be worn at all times (i.e., gloves,reflective vest, safety glasses, work boots, etc.) Report all accidentsor incidents to supervisor(s) immediately Exhibit a professionaldemeanor, manner and appearance at all times (i.e., meeting customersand/or the general public while on route or in uniform.) Maintainaccurate records of services performed. Work closely with supervisor toimprove routing efficiencies. Attend safety and branch meetings. Performother duties and responsibilities as required or requested bymanagement. May be required to work overtime.

Requirements:

High schooldiploma or general education degree (GED) desired. Must possess a vaildCommerical Driver\'s License Minimum one (1) years of commercial drivingexperience OR CDL school certificate Must be able to meet relevantcriteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standardsMust be able to demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck andoperate the equipment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of thetruck and its components and the basic maintenance

forsafe operation Ability to control operations of equipment; maneuveringtruck into and out of minimum clearance spaces, using mirrors to backdistances of approximately 120 feet or more Ability to recognizeunacceptable waste (such as gasoline or other flammable materials)Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customersAbility to read, write, and comprehend associated documents and mapsAbility to understand and follow oral and written instructionsFlexibility to accept and adapt to change as well as the commitment toseek continuous improvement Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push,pull or carry objects up to 50 pounds repetitively using proper liftingtechniques Ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example: twoarms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting or standingAbility to follow all company safety policies and procedures Knowledgeof air brakes on tractor trailer. Ability to driver a vehicle thatcarries up to 80,000 lbs or 40 tons.
