Substance Use Disorder (SUD) LPN Missouri Ozarks Community Health Ava, MO 65608 Company Overview Missouri Ozarks Community Health is a community health center dedicated to providing quality healthcare to individuals in Ava, Gainesville, Mansfield, Mountain Grove, Cabool, and Houston. Our team has been caring for patients since 1997 and is committed to expanding our services. Summary We are currently seeking a full-time substance use disorder (SUD) LPN to join our nursing team at our Ava clinic. The successful candidate will work directly with a medical to provide direct patient care to those struggling with substance abuse and addiction, focusing on assessment, treatment planning, medication management, and patient education. We offer the option of a 4- or 5-day work week for flexibility. We are looking for a motivated, purposeful professional with strong people skills, the ability to think independently, and act decisively when needed. Candidates must hold current licensure, have a solid understanding of medical procedures, and the ability to adhere to strict hygiene standards. A willingness to travel to other clinic locations is required. Responsibilities Place patients in exam rooms, record vital signs, current complaints, and relevant medical history. Educate patients and their families about substance use disorders, treatment options and recovery strategies. Maintain confidentiality of patient records and information. Document all patient contacts, triage phone calls, and refer complicated illnesses to medical providers. Perform in-house, CLIA-waived laboratory tests per protocols. Log up all lab testing, review laboratory results when returned from outside labs, check them off as received, and refer all abnormal results to the correct provider. Administer medications to patients per provider order and medication administration protocols. Assist with outreach activities as directed. Requirements Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program. Unrestricted license to practice Practical Nursing in the State of Missouri Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. CPR (BLS) certification preferred. Candidates must pass a drug/alcohol screening before employment can begin.
