Full Job Description SUMMARY:

Field Trainers is to provide the necessary skills to aid and train apprentices daily. Following the training coordinators assignments and reporting cases back with results from the training with the individual apprentices by filling out corrective action forms, checklists, and training summaries.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand Fire Sprinkler blueprints. Knowledge of

NFPA 13,14,20,24

Standards of Installation. Must have complete knowledge of steel piping. Track progress and evaluate trainees and apprentices as they progress. Teach physical and professional techniques to installers and foremen. Motivate and teach trainees to attain high production/speed while maintaining quality. Be flexible, working with various individuals across multiple projects with an adaptable schedule. Interface with customers and superintendents. Ability to adapt to Symons Fire Protections policies and operations. Ability to always improve, learn, and grow. Have a working knowledge of steel piping and/or CPVC (both are preferred but not required). Prove a minimum of 5+ years of full-time experience in the trade. A clean driving record is a plus.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Blazemaster, OSHA 10 or 30, and CPR/First Aid training must be obtained within the first 3 months of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

It also requires basic knowledge of mobile devices for communication. Basic math skills are a necessity. The ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in unstandardized situations.
