JOB PURPOSE
AD/S installs and supervises the installation of every project we fabricate to make it run smoothly to the last detail. Using our own vehicles, equipment and crews, or working in partnership with other firms throughout the United States, we see the job through completion. We are seeking a skilled individual who is willing to join the Laborers Union and become apart of our union installation team. Must be able to pass drug screenings when requested, for specific projects. M ust possess a valid Class A or B, Driver license
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform trouble shooting, repairs, maintenance & installation of all types of electrical and lighting system equipment and components Install and repair signage Install graphics and signs of all types Installs in ground, post and panel site signs into soil, asphalt and concrete Installs signs using ladders, boom lifts, cranes, and scaffolds up to 100+ feet in height Solves problems in the field as they develop Accurately measure and map sites for new projects Load and unloads product Interact with customers and general contractors in a professional manner Follows company safety standards at all time Operate crane trucks Drives company vehicles in a safe manner Flexibility in work hours to include availability in overtime hours and extended travel as needed Maintain and provide accurate departmental paperwork as requested Drives company vehicle in a safe manner Completes daily time-ticket and daily work reports Clean and maintain work area and equipment to provide a safe and organized work environment Interacts with other departments
  • Work safely to prevent on the job injuries by following all safety regulations; including PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes, harness, hard hat, and on occasion gloves, dust mask, or job specific safety equipment) Performs other related duties as assigned by management
SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS
Assist in the operation and maintenance of specialized tools used in electrical, carpentry, and related building trades; measure and calculate angles, lengths and volumes; understand and follow oral and written instructions; estimate necessary materials and equipment to complete assignments; prepare basic records and reports; read and interpret manuals, specifications, drawings and blueprints; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those encountered in the course of the work. Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person Ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities to meet critical deadlines, as well as working independently Strong work ethic with an enthusiastic, positive attitude, and the highest level of integrity Good communication skills in order to receive and follow instructions and communicate to others necessary information pertaining to the production of signs Maintain regular and timely attendance
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED Two years of experience in construction; or equivalent combination of training and experience. OSHA 10 | 30 a plus Crane Operator Certified preferred. If not, must be willing to obtain
  • Required Welding Certification preferred. If not, must possess knowledge of welding and willingness to obtain certification
  • Required UL Certified a plus Must possess a valid Class B CDL/Driver license
  • No exceptions Must be able to operate vehicle over 26,001 lbs. with air breaks system NOTE

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this class, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk or hear in person, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Employees must be able to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls. Installers must be able to stand for long periods of time and work at heights of 100+ feet and in confined spaces. Employees must be able to reach with hands and arms and frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
MENTAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this class, employees are regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve problems; observe and interpret situations; learn and apply new information or skills; perform highly detailed work; work on multiple, concurrent tasks; work with frequent interruptions; work under intensive deadlines; and interact with managers, staff, vendors, the public and others encountered in the course of work.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this class. The employee frequently works in all weather conditions; outside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, elevated positions and on ladder/boom lift. The employee is frequently exposed to wet, cold or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
