Encompass Medical Group is seeking a full-time Insurance Clerk (Medical Billing Payment Poster) within our Lenexa administrative office. 8:00am-4:30pm

Mon-Fri Position Summary:

The Insurance Clerk (Medical Payment Poster) is responsible for posting payments from the insurance companies, all follow-up and correction of claims, and taking phone calls from patients.

Position Accountabilities:

Re-works claims that have been returned for additional information Posts payment information to patient account profile Processes refund requests Handles all incoming patient calls

Job Specifications:

Minimum Education High School Diploma or equivalent Medical billing experience or completion of medical billing coursework preferred Minimum Experience 1 year experience of medical billing and insurance posting required Experience working in a professional office setting Previous experience working with United Healthcare insurance preferred

Job Qualifications:

Excellent typing skills 10-key experience preferred Strong customer service background required Medical background preferred Prior professional working environment experience preferred Able to work well in a team setting Prior EMR experience preferred Excellent communication skills
