Responsible for providing dedicated clerical and administrative support to clinical and non-clinical interdisciplinary hospice team as well as front line service to patients and families. Applies knowledge and independent judgment toplete a wide range of assignments and resolve problems. Frequent contacts include internal and external customers to gather information or provide information. Provides excellent customer service to patients, families, staff, and external contacts. Team approach to clinical and non-clinical functions listed below through primary ownership and cross-training.
DETAILS OF THE POSITION
Assists clinicians and providers with scheduling and monitoring of Medicare benefit periods. Facilitates intake/registration through electronic medical record (EMR) creation. Monitors plans of care and certifications of terminal illness forpliance. Audits and ensures accuracy of non-covered addendums, consents, and hospice item sets. Verifies billing per state and federal hospice regulations to support reimbursement, including Medicaid pass through billing, insurance verifications, authorizations, and notifications.
WHAT YOU BRING
High School Diploma Minimum of 1 year
Preferred:
experience in a healthcare setting Essential functions may also include support of admissions, discharges, and volunteer services as well as basic housekeeping and cooking.
