StreetMod Designs is a premium automotive restoration and customization shop located in Fort Worth that specializes in restoration and customization of classic cars from 1919 to 1995. Our services range from sheet metal fabrication to mechanical upgrades on full build projects and basic services on classics vehicles. Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm Position Responsibilities The Hot Rod Fabricator is responsible for designing and shaping custom metal pieces for vehicles as well as perform rust repair to ensure a sound body. The Hot Rod Fabricator will have the following responsibilities, but is not limited to: Weld metal using TIG and MIG welding processes Accurately design and fabricate body panel parts Creating custom parts for rust repair, chassis builds, engine swaps, etc. Shape sheet metal using English wheel, planishing hammer, and bead roller Efficiently and accurately perform vehicle repairs Make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of customer vehicles Communicate with management to obtain needed parts, advise of additional problems, and obtain approval on repairs Document work performed by typing notes and taking pictures Must be accurate and time efficient with repairs, handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines Be willing to be trained and/or work on different repairs besides fabrication when needed Requirements You must be able to meet these requirements to be considered for the position. •This is not a beginner or learning position. Applicants must currently be at or have worked at a classic car restoration shop. Serious applicants only.•Required 4+ years professional fabrication experience with TIG and MIG Must currently or previously have worked in an professional classic car automotive shop for 2+ years High School Diploma or equivalent Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License Must maintain a safe driving record during employment Proficient in geometry and reading measurements Must be able to continually provide own tools and toolbox (Basics a must!) Able to start within 2 weeks of hire •All applicants must pass pre-employment testing which includes a background check, driving record check, and an on-site skills test.•Benefits Paid time off Employee discounts on parts and merchandise Quarterly Tool Bonus for exceptional performance
