Full time, exempt The HR Department exists to manage the employee life cycle, from recruitment to termination, and to ensure the company's workforce is well-equipped, engaged, and compliant with legal standards. This involves handling tasks like recruiting, hiring, training, managing benefits, and ensuring a positive and safe work environment. The HR Generalist is responsible for the daily functions of HR including payroll, benefits and ensuring policies are followed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Publish job listings, schedule interviews, follow up and support efficient acquisition of qualified personnel Manage employee relations (grievances, coaching, disciplinary meetings) Monitor, record, and ensure compliance with training, continuing education, and job performance evaluations. This may encompass areas such as safety, anti-harassment, and professional licensing. Maintain and update handbook as changes are made Ensure that the employee handbook is current and accurately reflects all company policies and procedures by promptly incorporating any modifications or updates as they occur. Generate official internal documents Keep job descriptions up to date Create and manage onboarding plans for newly hired / promoted employees Oversee and develop onboarding programs for new and promoted employees Maintain accurate physical and digital files for employees Collaborate and plan employee engagement activities Assist Managers in evaluating employee performance (act as policy guide for disciplinary action, termination, etc) Maintain HRIS (Paylocity) system with updated information Research, create, assign & track relevant training for employees Other duties as assigned by the
Controller Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an indoor office setting. The role is primarily sedentary, involving extended periods of sitting and regular use of a computer throughout the day. Occasional light lifting of items up to 20 pounds may be required.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Authorization to work in the United States High School Diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field At least 3 years of experience in an HR generalist or related role Current SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, labor laws, and compliance
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Computer Proficiency
  • Skilled with data entry and commonly used office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace). Attention to Detail
  • Strong ability to identify & prevent errors, ensuring accuracy in all tasks. Integrity
