  • 3•6 months of experience in a Manufacturing environment or equivalent.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Sanding experience related to Composite Materials.
  • Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, planers and drill presses.
  • Determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup on machining processes.
  • Use a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments; make standard shop utations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds. This is a safety-sensitive job covered by the U.S. DOT's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations require that you participate in a drug testing program for the following drugs: Marijuana

At the Grapevine Overhaul & Repair facility we perform a variety of osite/metal repairs on Sikorsky U.S. Military and ercial Main Rotor Blades and Tail Rotor Blades.
THE WORK
  • Sets up and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
  • Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup.
  • Use a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments; make standard shop utations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
  • Measures, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.
  • Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment and determine material, parts, and equipment required.
  • May modify numerically controlled programs on numerically controlled (NC) machines.
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Working in a high-paced environment and collaborating within a diverse team.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $41,100
  • $72,450.
For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
