None Job Summary:
The X-ray Operator will provide diagnostic radiology exams for diagnosis and treatment of disease. Primarily responsible for operation of X-ray equipment.Essential Functions:

Essential functions of this position include:- Perform radiology exams such as skull, sinus, extremities, spines, abdomen, pelvis, hips, and chest.
- Produce high quality and accurate diagnostic X-ray images.
- Applies knowledge of ALARA.
- Follows policies, procedures, and systems of the department to meet the mission and goals of the clinic.
- Ensure quality control is performed within guidelines designated by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
- Assists with maintenance of equipment to ensure patient safety and proper working order.
- Enter exam information into the radiologists reporting system for the generation of a radiology report to the provider via the EMR.
- Comply with all radiography policies and OSHA regulations related to safety, cleanliness, and infection control.
- Demonstrates room and equipment cleanliness between patients.
- Educate and train others in the operation of radiology equipment, procedures, image quality and exposure techniques.
- Interacts with patients, providers, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the Radiology Supervisor and Director of Clinical Services.
- Uphold patient confidentiality as outlined by HIPAA and HITECH regulations.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks.
- Provide imaging as determined by patient demand.
- Responsible to assist all modalities as needed.
- Ability to provide weekend coverage as needed on a limited basis.
- The willingness to perform limited lab and nursing support as needed in qualified areas.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Meet basic requirements for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid and other applicable federal, state, and local agencies.
- Computer knowledge or experience with EMR and PACS.
- Maintain X-ray Operator requirements.
- phlebotomy experience preferred.
Certification and Licensure:
- X-ray operator ARRT certification or State of MN X-ray operator license Work environment:
- Environmentally controlled radiology department.
- Occasionally high pressure or emergent situations.
- Exposure to bodily fluids.
- Possible exposure to infectious agents, communicable diseases, strong magnetic field, ionizing radiation, contrasts, and other conditions common to a radiology and medical office environment.
- May wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves or a mask.
- Frequent interaction with a diverse population including team members, providers, patients, and other members of the public.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, lifting, carrying, and speaking.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds, with assistance if needed.
- Frequent use of computer, keyboard, phone, copy and fax machines.
Compensation and Benefits:
Wage Range:
$26.50 - $31.50 per hour Compensation decisions are made based off several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification, and licensure as well as internal equity.
