The Data Management and Business Intelligence team is responsible for building and maintaining the data infrastructure and tools that power our business decisions. We are a collaborative and innovative team passionate about data quality and delivering impactful insights. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Application Engineer to join our team as a Soft ware Tester, playing a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our data cataloging and business intelligence applications. As a Software Tester), you will be responsible for the quality assurance of our data cataloging and business intelligence applications. You will work closely with developers, system engineers, and product owners to understand requirements, develop test plans, execute test cases, identify and document defects, and perform code reviews. You will also contribute to improving our testing processes and promoting a culture of quality within the team.Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for the data cataloging and business intelligence applications.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using a bug tracking system (Jira).
- Conduct code reviews for TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js code.
- Collaborate with developers to understand application on architecture and identify potential issues.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with the team to ensure high-quality releases.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- All experience and education will be in a technical field directly related to the labor category being proposed and all diplomas, GED certificates, and degrees will be from accredited insti tuti ons.
- 12 years minimum experience and a High School Diploma/GED.
- 10 years minimum experience and an Associate's Degree 8 years minimum experience and a Bachelor's Degree. 6 years minimum experience and a Master's Degree. 4 years minimum experience and a Doctorate's Degree.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and Java.
- Experience performing code reviews.
- Experience writing test plans and test cases.
- Experience with bug tracking systems (Jira).
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Vue.js and Nuxt.js.
- Experience with MongoDB.
- Experience with Python.
- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Elasticsearch.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
