Remote Coding Manager 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Burr Ridge, IL 60527 • Remote CSI Companies is hiring a Remote Profee Coding Manager for one of our top healthcare revenue cycle management clients.

Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week, standard business hours

Hire Job Summary:
The Profee Coding Manager is responsible for leading, supervising, evaluating, and managing professional staff within the coding and denial areas. This role ensures that staff receive appropriate training, ongoing education, and support in compliance with organizational and industry standards. The Manager will also oversee coding quality, productivity, reporting, client communications, and billing preparation.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain expertise in professional coding certification requirements and ensure staff are trained in ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and HCPCS coding procedures to maximize reimbursement. Conduct weekly denial review sessions ("denial crushes") and organize updates on new
CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10-CM
codes. Lead the recruitment, selection, development, and evaluation processes for coding staff. Monitor coder productivity weekly via system reports and/or productivity logs. Schedule and oversee quarterly coder audits and track PTO usage. Verify and approve invoices for 1099 contract coders. Create and update Policies & Procedures, Coding Tip Sheets, and Denial Trackers. Maintain strong client relationships and attend scheduled client meetings. Prepare and submit monthly client billing data (e.g., E&M coded, surgeries coded, denials worked, hours worked). Abide by and enforce Standards of Ethical Coding (AHIMA and AAPC) across the team, reporting concerns to the Coding Director when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Active and verifiable CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or CCS-P is required 5+ years of profee coding experience required. Verifiable High School Diploma/GED is required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is highly preferred. Previous supervisory or management experience required. Strong ability to lead teams effectively in a remote and cross-functional environment. Deep understanding of regulatory compliance in healthcare coding. Exceptional computer skills, including experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Outstanding organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. High integrity, professionalism, and commitment to organizational values. Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively under tight deadlines. Analytical skills with the ability to interpret and report on data trends. Working knowledge of medical claim submissions (1500 and UB04 forms) and coding software. Experience submitting statistical data for interdepartmental use. High speed internet on your own private home network; ability to work in a remote, distraction-free environment
Highly Preferred:
