Do you thrive in dynamic environments and stay calm under pressure? Coastal Wellness & Counseling LLC (CWC) is seeking a Billing Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining accurate billing processes, fostering clear communication with clients, and supporting account management.

CWC is a mental health counseling center dedicated to delivering compassionate care. We offer individual, couple, family, and group therapy, creating a welcoming space for clients and staff alike. Our team is committed to providing exceptional client support, from initial contact through the billing process.
Position Overview:
The Billing Assistant will focus on managing the billing cycle for our clients, with an emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and client advocacy. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in medical billing, excellent organizational skills, and a strong ability to communicate with both clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Communication:
Provide clear and empathetic support to clients regarding billing inquiries, insurance coverage, and payment responsibilities.
Billing & Claims Management:
Gather and verify insurance information, communicate billing details with clients, and enter data into our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. •
Benefit Checks & Claims Auditing:
Perform insurance benefit checks, audit claims for errors or denials, and assist in resolving rejections and other billing issues.
Accounts Reconciliation:
Support account reconciliation efforts, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
Administrative Support:
Provide general support, including data entry, scheduling, and occasional front desk duties. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the team to streamline processes and improve the client experience.

Organized & Detail-Oriented:
Ability to manage multiple accounts and maintain accurate records
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
At least 1-2 years of experience in medical billing and insurance processes, preferably within a mental health or similar clinical setting.
Background Check:
Must be able to pass a background check as a condition of employment.
