out of 5 stars Virginia Job description The Inspection and Testing of Water Based Systems, NICET Certified Technician Level II, will be joining the Optimum Fire & Security Federal Inspection Team.NICET Certified Fire Sprinkler Systems Inspector/Technician Responsibilities:
Interpret and apply applicable Codes and Standards including IBC, IFC, and NFPA 13, 20, 22, and 25 Perform fire sprinkler inspections, and fire pump inspections in a multitude of differing environments, structures, and settings Extensive knowledge of fire sprinkler/fire pump systems Extensive knowledge of building reports Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to read installation and system manuals Ability to read blueprints and building plans Extensive knowledge of sprinkler and fire codes Ability to use hand and power toolsEducation and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required Vocational/technical/ school training is highly preferred; on-the-job training may be provided Two years of related experience required Fire years of experience preferredPhysical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders Physically able to install system hardware Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time Comply with all Company, Client, and Federal safety policies Inspect new or existing installations, prepare reports, and make recommendationsNICET Certified Fire Sprinkler Systems Inspector/Technician Requirements:
Minimum NICET Certification in Water-Based Fire Protection Systems ITM Level II Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to solve basic math problems Ability to complete site surveys, identify code issues, and find solutions Completion of daily logsJob Type:
Full-time Hourly Pay Range:
