Architectural Drafter/Permit Expeditor 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Boulder, CO 80302 Architectural Drafter/Permit Expeditor Kari Whitman Interiors, an upscale interior design-build firm, is looking to add an Architectural Drafter/Permit Expeditor to the team in Boulder, CO. The ideal candidate for this role will have copious experience submitting permits, handling revisions, working with the city, and project management. This position is an in-office position. No remote or hybrid work is offered. Kari Whitman Interiors is known in both the interior design and architectural worlds as a trusted expert for celebrity clientele in prestigious locations both locally and worldwide. Projects include both residential and commercial builds with a focus on green design, and pet-friendly design. We are seeking an employee with passion for their work and a drive for success who is ready to take on creative, unique, and eclectic projects for our amazing clients.
Requirements:
Degree in Architecture or similar field Experience submitting permits and working with the city Ability to handle revisions promptly and accurately Strong construction project management experience- including working with the city, subcontractors, clients, timelines and budgets Excellent AutoCAD skills Must be comfortable working in-office full-time (no remote work) Must be comfortable with dogs in the office Must have continual access to a laptop Exceptional Google Drive skills Discretion with confidential client and business information
Job Responsibilities:
Submitting permits and regularly liaising with the city Managing revisions Handling planning and scheduling Adhering to deadlines Clear, concise and effective communication with clients, contractors, vendors and city officials Ensuring compliance with building codes Collaborating with interior designers and architects Giving design recommendations, including material and finish selections Assisting in optimizing functionality and flow of spaces Preparing construction documents Working frequently with
AutoCAD and Google Drive Salary:
$70,000-$90,000 annually commensurate with experience Regular opportunities for performance based bonuses and pay increases Medical insurance, 401K, and PTO offered
Schedule:
Our regular office hours are Monday-Friday 10am-7pm After acquainted and trained, open to discuss a 9am-6pm schedule if desired We are located in Boulder, CO and are fully in-office. We do not offer remote or hybrid schedules
