Job Summary The Route Driver is responsible for representing the company while making deliveries and picking up freight. Hours and Wages Monday
  • Friday, 7:30AM
  • completion of route 10-15 hours of overtime may be expected each week Voluntary OT on weekends (as needed) Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week Starting wage: $20.00

00 per hour, based on experience Duties and Responsibilities Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages Collect payments for certain packages delivered Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers Notify management of any problems or discrepancies Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle Perform other related duties as assigned Skills and Abilities Ability to operate a manual transmission, or have the willingness to learn Possess good customer service and can work independently Education and Experience At least 21 years of age High school diploma or equivalent preferred Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards Physical Requirements Ability to pass a DOT physical exam Ability to bend, lift, twist, climb stairs, while moving freight on and off company vehicle Ability to lift and move freight weighing up to 100 pounds Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals Benefits Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), Employee Assistance Program, 401(k) Plan, Quarterly Bonuses, and more.
