We would like to find someone who can work quickly but efficiently, has knowledge of surgical, prosthodontic, endodontic, and basic aspects of dentistry. This individual MUST be proficient in scanning and designing crowns through CERAC. Experience with Dentrix is a plus! We aren't just a "suck spit" kind of office for assistants. Our doctors allow our assistants to do as much as their education, experience, and the law allows, so it's an exciting and enjoyable office to work in. We hope to add another team member who is willing to help wherever needed, is flexible with duties, willing to learn new skills, and is an excellent team player. We strive to create a low-drama work environment and would only like to hire those that will contribute to this type of atmosphere. This position will be 4 days per week, Monday through Thursday. No nights, weekends, or holidays required! Responsibilities of Our Assisting Team Welcome customers in the dental office Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Schedule appointments Maintain accurate patient records Expose diagnostic radiographs Assist the hygiene department as needed Order and stock supplies Assist the front desk as needed Skills Proven experience as dental assistant Proficient knowledge of CERAC scanning and designing is a requirement Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Additional certification or training is an asset We hold our team to high standards and to compensate for this we offer competitive pay, paid vacation and wellness hours, 401k matching, free dental care (less lab fees) to employee and immediate family, company paid long and short term disability insurance, production based bonuses, referral bonuses, opportunities for paid continuing education, and multiple paid holidays.
