SUMMARY

The Utility Lead is responsible for providing support in multiple departments including Tooling, Blending, Grinding and QA. The Utility Lead is also able to perform the duties of a Lead Operator in Production overseeing output, specifications, and overall quality. The Utility Lead can fill in as the role of Supervisor.

DUTIES AND

RESPONSIBILITIESMay include, but are not limited to, the following:

Assist Tool and Die performing changeovers and line start upsAssist Maintenance in minor equipment repairsPerform duties of a day or night shift Lead Operator as neededPerform all duties and responsibilities required of A, B, and C OperatorsGauge when the line is hot and ready to startMake heat adjustments on extruder for quality pipeMaintain INK JET printers and select correct printGive breaks to line operators in his area of responsibility when working in productionResponsible for Production Pre-Start Checklist and start up a line from start to finish in a timely manner with end results of quality productKeep all tooling put up in correct placeSets a premier example to others as to safe work habits, attitude, and company goalsSelect proper silo and material for productAssist with conducting Production on boarding training with new hiresEngage in daily production process improvementsCross trained and able to perform Blending/Grinding position as neededCross trained and able to perform QA Technician position as neededOther duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma/GED preferredMust be qualified at A Operator levelStrong work ethic, attention to detail and positive attitudeAbility to work independently with minimal supervision

The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
