Patrols assigned beat on foot, or in patrol car to control traffic, prevent crime or disturbance of peace, and arrest violators. Must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid Colorado driver's license or obtain one within 30 days, POST certified, be able to pass all physical and psychological exams, background checks, pre-employment drug test and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from all states in which a license has been held within the previous three years. Requires a high school diploma or GED. Please submit a completed City application, a completed Police Supplemental application and a copy of POST certification or a copy of your POST card issued by Colorado POST.
