Heavy Equipment Technician - Rental C L M Equipment Co., Inc. 2815 North Sam Houston Parkway East, Houston, TX 77032 Service Technician with formal training and/or minimum three years of related experience - could include work as a Field Technician performing work offsite at customer locations. Pay Rate is dependent on experience and skill level Diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment (excavators, bull dozers, backhoes, etc.) Removing and Replacing mechanical or electrical components to include but not limited to engines, crawler tracks, attachments. Operate diagnostic equipment for the purpose of testing (requires climbing into operators compartments) Read schematics as required to diagnose and perform repairs Use manual and automated tools and devices in the repair of equipment. Operate company vehicles Lifting, carrying, and positioning of components. Use of overhead crane in shop or electric truck mounted crane in field. Use of welding machine and air compressor. Utilize computer based diagnostic software Perform tasks in various surroundings: within CLM service shop, outside/yard at CLM facilities, at customer job sites. Communicate with customers and co-workers. Clean work area. Extensive climbing, bending, lifting generally required in repair of certain equipment types. Perform routine service and minor repair on service vehicles.
