Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Low Voltage Field Technicians. This full-time position involves assisting our lead technicians in various tasks related to technology installations and systems hardware maintenance. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage systems such as CCTV, network installations, and cabling. This role is ideal for candidates eager to learn and grow with our company, as it offers extensive opportunities for training and development. The ideal candidate will have experience with routers, equipment repair, NEC codes, schematics, and data centers. This is a hands-on position that requires proficiency in using various hand tools.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in residential and commercial TV installations, including, mounting, wiring, programming
  • Assist in installation, setup, and servicing of data center infrastructure, including assembly/disassembly of servers and racks, cabling, fiber optics, and ongoing maintenance
  • Assist in installation of commercial surveillance systems, including security cameras, DVR setup, and network integration
  • Troubleshoot and repair low voltage systems to ensure proper functionality
  • Conduct testing, routine maintenance and quality assurance checks to verify the proper functioning of systems
  • Perform equipment repair and replacement as needed
  • Follow NEC codes and guidelines for safe installation practices, compliance, and company standards
  • Read and interpret floor plans and blueprints, and follow the direction of the Field Manager or Lead Technician
  • Ensure all installations meet safety, compliance, and company standards
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete projects on time
  • Maintain detailed records of all installations and provide clear explanations to team members of installed systems
  • Adhere to company and industry standards, safety protocols, and regulations while working
  • Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving issues promptly
Skills:
  • Proficiency in installing and configuring cameras and network equipment
  • Knowledge of cabling standards and best practices
  • Familiarity with routers and switches
  • Experience in equipment repair and replacement
  • Understanding of NEC codes and regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot system issues
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members
  • Comfortable working in data center environments
  • Proficiency in using various hand tools for installation and repair tasks

Work Locations:
Job sites primarily located in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, including Naperville, Aurora, Winfield, Downers Grove, and Elk Grove Occasional work in the greater Chicagoland area and Out of Sate. Company service vehicles may be available for use, but are not guaranteed
Schedule:
