Kansas Position Summary:
We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. This is a skilled position requiring a strong dedication to safety, teamwork, and professionalism. The ideal candidate will operate a variety of heavy machinery to assist in production at asphalt plants, materials facilities and construction sites. This role requires expertise in equipment operation, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in a team environment to complete projects efficiently and on schedule. The equipment operator works collaboratively with the team to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.Responsibilities :
Operate various types of heavy equipment including front end loaders, dozers, backhoes, etc. Manage incoming aggregate materials, stockpiles, and load feeder bins for high-capacity asphalt production plants, construction recycle facilities and project sites. Safely maneuver equipment in tight or high-traffic zones and load material into trucks. Transport materials, dig trenches, level surfaces, and perform other operations. Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation. Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines, regulations, and company policies. Daily inspection of equipment and reporting of any malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors. Assist with general labor tasks as needed, including site cleanup and material handling. Follow verbal and written instructions. Must be able to perform repetitive work. Ability to follow directions. Position assists with repairs, breakdowns, etc. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends when necessary. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in OSHA guidelines and MSHA policies and procedures manual. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment. Knowledge of welding and general mechanics preferred. Must be flexible to work days, nights or occasional weekends. Ability to communicate using two-way radios.Physical Demands:
