Job Description
Position Purpose:
This position supports HR functions throughout the organization by implementing human resources projects, programs, and initiatives, maintaining and administering the company HRIS platform, taking ownership of the recruitment process, and providing support in maintaining positive employee relationships and advancing the company's core values and mission. This position is also responsible for accurately processing payroll and reporting based on compliance with federal, state, and local wage, hour and tax laws.Compensation:

Take ownership of the recruitment process by collaborating with various departments to create a recruitment schedule and plan, post job ads, review resumes and job applications, conduct screening calls, and schedule interviews, while also developing recruitment resources, maintaining candidate pools, and networking to increase the reach of our recruitment. Take ownership of various administrative projects as directed by the HR Manager. Support and backup HR Generalist in onboarding by administering drug screens, background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and reference checks. Setup employee onboard training, along with tracking ongoing safety training for current employees. Maintain organization of personnel files, updating employee records regularly. Track and follow-up on attendance calls. Provide customer service to employees looking for information, needing assistance or voicing concerns. Maintain positive employee relationships by being an active member of committees. Track employees that use personal vehicles driver's license and insurance and follow up when either of these have expired. Lead annual purge of personnel records in accordance with company file retention policy. Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing administrative tasks as needed and other duties as assigned.Payroll Functions or Duties:
Collect, verify, and record employee attendance, including hours worked. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage/hour and payroll laws, including remittance of payroll taxes. Process and monitor garnishment orders. Calculate and process expense reimbursements for payroll. Compute and process wage changes, commissions, bonuses and deductions. Prepare and disperse paychecks to ensure that employees are paid on time and in the correct amount. Audit payroll for each payroll run to ensure consistent accuracy and compliance with wage and hour laws. Receive, investigate, and respond to employee complaints payroll concerns and discrepancies. Process terminations of employment, including final paychecks, in accordance with state requirements. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Knowledge and Skills:
Broad familiarity with HR processes and programs. Experience in ADP payroll processing, reporting, and payroll taxes. Proficiency in the use of computers and MS Office suite. Must possess a professional and friendly attitude, with great customer service skills. Ability to work independently and perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize projects, problem-solve, multi-task, and complete work meeting assigned deadlines. High level of organization and time management skills. Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to maintain confidentiality. Positive attitude towards challenges and excellent problem-solving skills. Great attention to detail. Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly desired, but not required.Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred. Highschool diploma required. Minimum of 2 years of recent experience processing payroll in ADP. Minimum of 2 years of relevant HR experience. HR certification a plusPhysical Requirements:
