JOB DESCRIPTION
The Quality Assurance Technician will troubleshoot quality through different types of visual inspections and testing methods using precision instruments and equipment. The Quality Assurance Technician reports to the QA Manager at the manufacturing facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE
Perform product compliance with WL Plastics quality program as defined in the Quality Program Manual (QPM) Conducting tests on products and product samples in the lab or in the facility to determine product compliance with the QPM, industry standards, and customer specifications. Evaluating test results and determining product conformance or non-conformance. Maintaining records of quality tests, production, and product conformance. Preparing and forwarding quality equipment certifications. Maintaining laboratory and quality equipment certifications. Perform other duties assigned by the Quality Manager. Flexible hours and weekend work will be required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Preferred candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, or 1-2 years of relevant experience. Must have excellent communication skills. Must be able to work safely in a production environment; must be physically capable of performing job related tasks and job duties. Must be a U.S. citizen or a non-U.S. citizen having legal status to reside and work in the U.S for reasons other than practical training. Good organizational skills-ability to determine priorities, manage time properly, and multi-task. Adherence to Quality Policy and
ISO 9001
Procedural requirements. Basic computer skills (MS Windows, MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook) Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. Accountable for understanding and putting into practice the SHE Principles
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position combines hands-on technical analysis and administrative tasks. Walk, sit, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, balance, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear. Use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, and controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs or ladders. Employee must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand and walk 8-12 hours per day. Ability to wear PPE, including but not limited to, hard hat, safety glasses and steel toe footwear that meets
ASTM F-2413-2005
standards while in required locations. The employee will be required to: read, communicate verbally and in written form, remember and analyze certain information, and remember and understand certain instructions or guidelines. While performing duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk and sit, the employee is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle and feel and to reach with hands. Time will be spent among office, production floor, and lab areas. A large majority of time may be spent working on the production floor. This is not a laboratory position. Ability to work in varying temperatures and inclement weather during their shifts, excluding breaks. Work closely with production supervisors, production personnel, plant manager, and other personnel as required.

A large majority of time may be spent working on the production floor. This is not a laboratory position. TRAINING
The company provides training in safety. Lab equipment operation, quality procedures, quality tool operation, and quality requirements.
