Our Fort Wayne manufacturing facility is looking for a Quality Technician to join our Quality Team. This individual will perform tasks such as conducting quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, utilize analysis skills to identify areas for improvement in manufacturing processes, implement quality control measures to maintain product integrity, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues among other duties. HS Diploma/GED 4 years of quality experience or 2 year Quality technical degree or equivalent Math Test required with a score of 80% or better Knowledge of Assembly documentation Experience in raw material inspection, manual layout inspection, gage calibration Proficient with all inspection and test equipment to include incoming & first piece inspection, CMM operation and programming, Keyonce operation and programming Interpretation of prints, specifications, charts and documents Troubleshoot defective products and parts including the processing of those items for repair, evaluation and return Basic computer skills (Lotus Notes, JD Edwards (HS400), Excel, Word, Outlook)Responsibilities:
Perform all quality control tests Comply with the quality system Perform quality checks on pieces Coordinate findings with quality and production personnel to facilitate quality goals Adhere to quality control procedures Manage the quality control documentation Ensure quality products and processes Identify quality problems and solutions Ensure compliance with customer quality standards Assist in conducting quality inspections on work Provide focused, hands on quality support and expertise for all plant related quality issues Maintain all quality control procedures and policies Aid in training of associates on quality requirements Maintain acceptable quality and effectiveness levels Eliminating unnecessary downtime and enhancing quality Bring unit within quality control specifications Complete quality documentation (deviation investigations) Ensure product meets quality control criteria Communicate quality related problems to operations and quality supervision, and other necessary partiesJob Type:
