JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview:

The purpose of this role is to build a web application with models for slotting ideal location types for CPG warehouses based on the forecast and historical order data pulled from

WMS. RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for but not limited to the following: Discuss and validate business requirements with SME Build solution design, software development and unit testing, documentation for the project Analyze the incoming data and build models based on that Come up with innovative ideas to achieve the expected results in an efficient manner Take ownership of the task and communicate periodically on the progress

Key Results Areas:

Create, review solution design with the SMEs Build models and charts Create detailed documentation (user manual) for the application

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

The candidate should Understand supply chain, inventory management concepts and terminologies Show strong time management and communication skills Possess strong technical and analytical skills Should be able to get job done with no technical guidance Have ability to utilize Microsoft products e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. Have Proficiency in programming languages - CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Java, Angular, Springboot, API, Oracle DB, Python, etc. Analytical tools like Power Bi are nice to have Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office. The hourly wage for this position is $20.00. Candidates are eligible for the following benefit: one (1) hour of paid sick time for every thirty (30) hrs worked, and up to a maximum of forty-eight (48) hrs each calendar yr.
