Job Description

Automotive Body Technician Deer Pond Auto 14 Huntoon Memorial Highway, Leicester, MA 01524 Deer Pond Auto is seeking a skilled Auto Body/Frame Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair, including experience working with car panels, quarter panels, and frame straightening. This position requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality repairs to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed and provide accurate estimates. Perform bodywork on vehicle panels, including quarter panels, hoods, doors, and other body parts. Straighten vehicle frames using specialized equipment and techniques to restore structural integrity. Replace or repair damaged components, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Use welding, grinding, and cutting tools to perform necessary repairs. Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and filling as needed. Collaborate with painters to ensure that color matches and finishes meet specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Communicate effectively with management and customers regarding repair processes and timelines. Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to improve repair techniques and customer service.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an automotive repair program is a plus. Proven experience as an Auto Body/Frame Technician or similar role. Proficient in bodywork and frame straightening techniques. Familiarity with automotive repair tools and equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor. Comfortable working in various weather conditions and spending long hours on your feet.
