Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited California POST certified Basic Law Enforcement Academy; OR Certificate of Completion from an accredited California POST Certified Law Enforcement Academy awarded or renewed within the previous consecutive three (3) years at time of application.LATERAL - POLICE OFFICER
A current full-time Police Officer for at least one continuous year in the State of California as a Peace Officer, as defined by California Penal Code Section 830, 830.1, and 830.2; AND Possess a California POST Basic Certificate.Out of State Applicants:
Currently employed full-time for at least one continuous year of sworn general law enforcement experience AND possession of the Basic Course Waiver (BCW) from the California Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST). All applicants must meet the following:AGE:
Must be 21 years of age at the time of appointment date.EDUCATION
California POST requires possession of U.S. high school diploma orGED. CERTIFICATE
