Job Summary:
We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Rework Technician to join our team focused on ensuring the highest standards for military vehicle inspections. This role involves performing in-depth, 200-point quality checks to confirm vehicles meet stringent military specifications. The technician will also carry out necessary rework and repairs on units that fall short of compliance, helping maintain peak operational readiness.Key Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Vehicle Inspections Conduct thorough 200-point inspections of military vehicles, evaluating both performance and appearance. Review critical systems such as engines, electrical, hydraulics, structural integrity, and safety features to ensure alignment with military standards. Rework and Repair Address quality issues identified during inspections by performing required repairs or adjustments. Diagnose defects, recommend corrective actions, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement fixes effectively. Documentation and Communication Maintain accurate records of inspections, defects found, and rework completed. Generate detailed quality reports and propose enhancements to improve inspection procedures. Partner closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve issues and return vehicles to service quickly. Tool Use and Safety Compliance Utilize diagnostic equipment, precision measuring tools, and technical manuals to verify vehicle quality. Ensure all inspection tools are properly maintained and calibrated. Follow all safety protocols and keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.Experience:
2-3 years in a quality control or technician role within military, automotive, or heavy equipment industries.Technical Skills:
Proficient with diagnostic and measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, multimeters).Knowledge:
Familiarity with military vehicle systems and quality standards is highly desirable. Attention toDetail:
Capable of spotting even minor flaws or inconsistencies in vehicle components.Problem Solving:
Skilled in troubleshooting, recommending solutions, and carrying out effective rework.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and work in various conditions, including confined spaces and outdoor environments.Job Type:
