- Starting at $23/hr. based on years of LVN experience
- Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm work schedule
- Lone Star Circle of Care is a non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to providing high-quality health care to patients in Central Texas.
Daily Job Duties:
Obtain, evaluate, and record patient history in medical file Obtain and measure vital signs and record information on patients' charts Assist in the examination of patients under the direction of licensed medical staff and/or Registered Nurse May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis Prepare and administer medications according the five (5) rights of medication administration Perform routine diagnostic and laboratory tests Referrals - sending referrals, closing out referral when consultations are received in clinic Take incoming STAT calls from Quest and ARA, document, and send to provider. Complete data entry into Nextgen, state lab results, Hemoglobin and leads Research companies that offer the services (Speech Therapy/ Occupational Therapy/ Physical Therapy) that the physician has referred, that is in network with the patient's insurance and request authorization All other duties as assignedClinic Duties:
Prepare and maintain examination/treatment rooms, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments, and inventory of medical supplies and materials. As needed complete prior authorizations for medication Assist when necessary with the processing of faxes and correspondence that come into the clinicSynagis:
placing order and sending authorization to insurance company, calling parent to bring child in monthly for administration (mostly during flu season) Process medical records for urgent referrals Completion of incident reports as needed Patient Education (Coaching): Explain treatment procedures to patients Achieve and maintain clinical competencies as set forth by the Quality Council Interpret and apply standing orders as defined by theMedical Executive Committee and Quality Council Compliance:

Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing school Valid State of Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross requiredPREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSE
Previous nursing experience in a Clinic/Outpatient environment Previous work using Electronic Health Records (EMR) Bilingual English/Spanish language skillsJob Type:
