Job Description

Overhead Crane Field Technician Crane Industry Services McDonough, GA 30253 Job Summary Crane Industry Services is currently seeking an Overhead Crane Field Technician. This is a full time position based in McDonough, GA. 40hrs. Per week, overtime available. The ideal person will be able to perform inspections, troubleshoot various crane related issues, assess and determine correct actions, make adjustments, and install or relocate equipment. Starting hourly pay rate varies on knowledge, skill level, and current certifications. Company provided service truck, uniforms, phone, laptop, and fuel card. Requirements Must have a clean criminal record and submit to a 10 year background check. Have a valid drivers license and good driving record and provide DMV 5 year history report. Submit to and pass a Non CDL physical and drug screening. Work well individually or with a team. Be able to work after hours or weekends as needed. High School diploma minimum. Provide your own hand tools and basic power tools. Responsibilities Perform frequent and periodic inspections. Document inspections on a digital platform. Perform maintenance and repairs Explain inspection findings to customers. Create and complete work orders Keep service truck clean and organized Skills Proven experience as a field service technician with a strong understanding of OHC industry standards. Proficiency in crane system controls diagnostics, tools, and techniques. Familiarity with VFD controls and knowledge of programing parameters and troubleshooting . Knowledge of various and type of hoist and crane manufacturers and their inspection and maintenance requirements. Electrical knowledge Experience with installing various types of cranes. Ability to weld and perform minor fabrication tasks as required. Rigging loads and performing load test. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members. A commitment to safety protocols and procedures in all aspects of work.
