Job Summary:
The regression tester will program/automate manual software test cases as well as run, troubleshoot, and document all existing tests against TIMS major and minor version releases. Successful regression testers will be detail oriented and accurate, and have a strong tenacity to solve problems. This is an exempt position reporting to the manager of the applicable development group.Responsibilities & Duties:
Program/automate, document, and implement manual software test plans and cases. Execute automated regression tests against multiple versions of TIMS software including unit tests runs & build failures and static code analysis failures. Collaborate with programmers and testers to gather and document requirements for testing existing and new programming. Actively maintain internal processes and procedures, testing and documenting any modifications. Maintain accurate project time records. Assist in the training of new & existing personnel as needed. Assist with the successful execution of the annual users group conference. Will attend/participate and may present and/or assist with development of presentations. Degree in computer science or related degree that has programing language or the equivalent in related work experience. Previous experience with business software, business accounting practices, software testing or documenting required. TIMS experience also preferred. Experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel) Ability to write, read, and use Microsoft Structured Query language (SQL) and/or automated testing and programming experience would be good to have, but not required. Travel/Working Conditions This position will typically be in office at our Billings, Montana location. After the training period is complete, a hybrid arrangement or fully remote from within one of the states we operate, may be available.
