Maintenance Technician I Job Location:
Ambridge, PA Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and mechanical systems in an industrial plant. This includes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, installations, and ensuring equipment is safe and operational.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure workplace safety and follow established protocols. Perform maintenance and repairs on machinery and mechanical systems. Assemble, install, and maintain electrical systems and equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues. Wire and connect components such as circuit breakers and transformers. Use precision tools for equipment alignment, rigging, and part fabrication. Maintain compliance with electrical and safety codes. Support safety and quality programs. Complete additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance role. Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience. Knowledge of CNC, press brakes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and material handling systems. Experience with VFDs, PLCs, laser alignment, and vibration monitoring. Familiarity with shop tools and safety practices. Ability to read and communicate in English. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Lift 20-50 lbs repetitively. Stand, bend, climb, and walk up to 5 miles per shift. Good vision (20/30 with correction) and fine motor coordination. Work indoors/outdoors in varying temperatures and around noise, chemicals, and moving equipment.
