The Mercedes-Benz Manhattan New Car Tech Prep must provide a consistently outstanding brand and customer experience through consistently outstanding preparation, attitude, and teamwork. The Technician - New Car be articulate, enthusiastic, and a self motivated team player with outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal), a positive attitude, and an excellent work ethic. Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections of new Mercedes-Benz vehicles, noting any physical and mechanical issue and ensuring each is rectified. Provide clear and documented estimates on necessary mechanical repairs/maintenance of each vehicle. Diagnose warrantable items on vehicles in warranty and perform necessary repairs. Communicate to the New/Pre-Owned Supervisor/Advisor any delays in Pre-Delivery Inspections that will affect promised completion times. Perform maintenance and routine cleaning of shop and equipment. Retrieve vehicles for inspection/repairs from the yards as necessary. Assist other technicians in diagnosis and repair as needed. Must complete all training requirements set forth by Mercedes-Benz USA and Mercedes-Benz Manhattan. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Qualifications High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent work experience. At least two years of luxury automotive experience or graduation from a recognized technical school. A.S.E. Certification (strongly recommended). Understanding of WIS, NetStar, and the Mercedes-Benz SDS system. Ability to work on all automotive systems. Valid Driver's License. Must be able to commute to the North Bergen and Manhattan locations of the dealership as assigned. New York State Inspectors License (strongly recommended).
